Christina (she / her / ella) has spent her career working to ensure secondary students across the US have equitable access to high quality learning and she is passionate about cultivating school environments that allow students and staff to authentically bring their unique genius and fullest selves.
Prior to becoming a consultant, Christina was an educator for over 15 years, ranging from military, urban, and suburban settings, both public and charter, most recently serving on a principal team for a 6-12 public charter school in Washington DC. Christina also is the founder and lead consultant of VestED Consulting, a consulting firm that focuses on the intersection of equity and education, and through that work is able to impact students across the country, with recent projects in Los Angeles, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington DC.
Christina graduated from Old Dominion University as a double major in English and Secondary Education. Later, she went on to complete a post-graduate fellowship at Yale University studying Shakespeare and how to make the Bard accessible to high school students. She has also completed a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Dialogue for change program at Cornell University. Christina proudly resides in the northeast quadrant of Washington DC, and when not working, she is cooking with her wife and two mini-goldendoodles, Kingston and Koda.
