Cyrkle (she / her) is an experienced rockstar English Teacher, Special Education Teacher, Special Education Coordinator and Principal. She’s known for rallying teams of educators to create awesome and inclusive learning spaces for Black and Brown students and the educators who support them.
After 4 years in a dual role, Gen. Ed-English and Special Education teacher, Cyrkle stepped into leadership as the Special Education Chair in Prince George's County, MD. Her leadership journey continued in Washington, DC where she served as the Special Education Coordinator, and later, a Blue Ribbon Principal in DC’s Public Charter Schools.
From teaching middle schoolers to leading elementary and middle schools in Maryland and DC, her vibrant leadership style has lit up the hearts of learners and educators across the DMV. With a BS from Towson State University and a Master's from Notre Dame of Maryland, Cyrkle’s on a quest to help Black educators and their allies reclaim their "why" and reconnect them to their mission to inspire joy in teaching, as they navigate pursuing excellence AND being beautifully human!
The knowledge she shares with her team and partners is rooted in the notion that she will not ask anyone to do something she hasn’t already done or isn’t willing to do herself.
